The Michigan Federation of Music Clubs holds
its Junior Festivals each year in February.
Students learn two pieces (memorized) and
perform them at the festival. They are critiqued
and receive a rating. Ratings are explained
below. This is non competitive, students are
critiqued on how well they perform their pieces.
This is mandatory for all students taking
lessons between the ages of 5-18. Some
special cases apply.

1-2 SUPERIORS
For each superior rating you receive, you earn 5pts.
To earn a gold cup you must accumulate 15pts
To earn the 2nd gold cup you need to accumulate 30pts.
To earn the 3rd gold cup you need to accumulate 45pts.
To earn the fourth gold cup you need to accumulate 60pts.
To earn a gold cup you must accumulate 15pts
